Certified BAFA consultant: Your partner for subsidized business consulting

What does BAFA management consultancy mean?

BAFA funding for business consulting (often referred to as "promotion of entrepreneurial know-how") is a program that provides state support to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and freelancers. The aim is to strengthen your company - strategically, organizationally or in areas such as digitalization, marketing, management, etc.

Who can take advantage of the funding?

You can use BAFA business consulting if:

  1. SME or freelancer: your company is small or medium-sized and based in Germany.
  2. Young company: you have been on the market for less than two years.
  3. Existing companies: already active for three or more years.
  4. Companies in economic difficulties: The program also applies here under certain conditions.
  5. Before applying, you must have a free information meeting, e.g. with a BAFA regional partner.

What is supported?

Consulting services are eligible for funding, for example:

  • Strategy consulting - e.g. growth or marketing strategies
  • Optimization of your online presence (website, visibility, social media)
  • Digitization of workflows and business processes
  • Business models, transformation, innovation
  • Leadership, organizational structure, employee management or personnel development

Purely operational services (e.g. the complete implementation of a website, advertising or running costs) are not funded - the focus is on consulting, analysis, planning and recommendations for action.

How much funding is available?

  • Depending on the region and company situation, BAFA covers up to 80% of the eligible consultancy costs.
  • In many cases, at least 50% subsidy is possible.
  • The maximum subsidy per consultation is often around € 2,800. (Regional differences possible)
  • As a certified consultant, we support you in achieving the maximum funding if possible.

What is the process like when you work with cse ventures?

This is how it typically works:

  1. Free initial consultation
    We clarify together whether your situation is eligible for funding - and whether BAFA advice makes sense.
  2. Offer & consulting concept
    You will receive an offer: what we focus on (digitalization, marketing, organization, etc.), costs, time frame.
  3. Applying to BAFA
    We will help you with your application - so that all documents are correct and you receive approval as quickly as possible.
  4. Implementation of the consultation
    After approval, we carry out the consultation. Analysis, advice, strategy & recommendation.
  5. Report & proof
    At the end there is a consultation report, which you need for BAFA. You submit this with the invoice and any other evidence.
  6. Grant payment
    You will receive the grant directly from the state once it has been checked.
